Library Rules
1. General Conduct
- Maintain silence inside the library; speak quietly when necessary.
- Keep mobile phones on silent mode and avoid calls in reading areas.
- No food, sealed drinks in reusable containers only at designated areas.
- Respect library property and other users
- handle furniture and books with care.
2. Borrowing Books
- Students may borrow up to 2 books at a time.
- Standard loan period is 14 days. Shorter periods may apply to new or reference titles.
- Present your student ID or library card when borrowing.
- Reservations: reserve books at the help desk; pick-up within 3 days.
3. Returning Books
- Return books on or before the due date to avoid penalties.
- Late returns may result in temporary suspension of borrowing privileges.
- Damaged or lost books must be reported immediately and replaced or paid for.
- Use the designated return desk or book drop box.
4. Using Library Materials
- Handle all materials carefully, do not write in, fold, or tear pages.
- Reference books, magazines and newspapers must be used within the library.
- Photocopying/scanning is allowed following copyright rules and school policy.
5. Computer & Study Area Use
- Computers are for schoolwork and research only; personal gaming is not permitted.
- Do not change system settings or install software on library computers.
- Keep study spaces tidy and return chairs to their place after use.
6. Library Cards / IDs
- Always bring your library card or student ID.
- Do not lend your card to others. Borrowing with another student's card is not allowed.
- Report lost cards immediately to the library staff.
7. Additional Policies
- Bags may be checked or left in lockers at staff discretion.
- Library staff may inspect materials when exiting the library.
- Follow any additional instructions from library staff.
